FTP Settings and Credentials

The following FTP information can be found in the email entitled "Hosting Account Information" that we have sent to you after hosting account creation.

Your FTP username and password are the same as your username and password for cPanel.
  • FTP Host/Hostname: your domain name or site IP address
  • FTP Username: your cPanel/FTP username
  • FTP Password: your cPanel/FTP password
  • Port: 21
  • Path/directory: leave this field blank

Be sure to upload all files and folders for your website to the public_html directory, otherwise they will not be visible on the Internet. Also, be sure that your homepage is saved as an index file (e.g., index.html, index.php, etc.).

You need to use an IP address for the FTP Host if you recently purchased a new account with SKGOLD Hosting and your domain name is not propagated yet.
